Kristin was born and raised in South Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida where she focused on Criminal Law and Individual Liberties. While attending the University of Central Florida, Kristin served as a judicial intern for an Orange County criminal judge at the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Kristin later attended St. Thomas University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate and graduated cum laude. Kristin was awarded the honor of being on the dean's list every semester during her law school career, and received a CALI award in Environmental Law and Sustainability.

Kristin began her legal career working at a mid-size firm handling class action lawsuits involving commercial litigation issues, including but not limited to, banking, violation of Florida’s Deceptive & Unfair Trade Act, violation of Racketeer Influenced & Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), and the Sale of Unregistered Securities under the Florida Securities and Investor Protection Act. Kristin later joined a Plaintiff’s firm and handled cases involving personal injury, cruise ship injuries, wrongful death, products liability, and life insurance disputes.
